Let’s start this weekend’s post with some really great news: we have another great guest artist coming up! Scott Banks will be spending some of his busy schedule up here in the studio in October, from the 3rd to the 7th. Scott’s a great guy and a fantastic tattooer as well, so you should book in with him! If you’d like to make an appointment, you can message Scott here, Ian here, or come into the studio. No appointments will be made without a deposit, so it’s probably easier to come into the studio. Here’s an example of Scott’s great work:
Now, for some stuff from this week! First up, Ian did a beautiful anchor the other day that really rocks. Everyone in Newcastle really seems to love traditional stuff, which keeps everyone here happy because they love to tattoo it.
This week Ian also did a really great tattoo of the Lorax, which is a Dr Seuss character which speaks for the trees and looks after the environment. This tattoo really rocks, and it’s a lot of fun as well!
Back to traditional now. Wolves are another of the various tried and true traditional tattoo designs, though we still draw up every single tattoo done in the studio for you, so no tattoo is done twice here. This one is from Blake, who did a pretty cool job of this.
Right, let’s finish with a painting. Dave spent some of his time this week doing some stuff for friends, and the picture below is for a really cool local shop called Electrik Sheep. If you’d like a painting from Dave, you can get in touch with him here about commissioning something from him. Great ideas are guaranteed a “yes”.
I think that’s it for now- next week, we should have some work here from the ladies in the studio, and probably something from Paul. As always, we’ll be back on Monday.
By the way, you can now look through certain artists’ work that’s here on the blog now with our “Browse by Artist” list in the sidebar to your right. Clicking on anyone’s name will bring up every blog post they’re mentioned in.
‘Till next week, folks!
