A Mixed Bag of Work today!

Hey everyone- we’ve had another great week.

First off, business meeting: as from September we’re going to have space for a new artist to join us here at Inkslingers. We have a really huge studio, right in the city centre, and it’ll be just in time for all the students coming back with their loans, haha! If you think you’re up for the job, get in touch! All ways to get in touch are in our “contact” page, though searching for Ian Parkin on Facebook might be the best way to get in touch right now. No time wasters, please.

Secondly, Paul has some space on Wednesday! If you’ve been sat looking at this blog debating about whether you want a tattoo, just stop what you’re doing and book in with Paul before this space is gone. Paul has loads of cool ideas, here’s a brilliant one:

If you’re just here for the pictures, here’s a really cool tattoo Ian did this week. There’s nothing like mixing some great traditional work with some Geordie slang.

Also, since we put up a lot of traditional stuff, here’s something a little different. This is also by Ian, and it shows off how versatile he is in his work. Ian did this in 30 minutes. Yeah, honestly, 30 minutes!

We have some really great stuff from Blake too today! First up, here’s a great traditional raven and a skull. Who says skulls have to look scary, eh?

Also, a bit of Japanese from Blake as well. Those reds and yellows are packed in pretty tight, and should stay there for decades to come!

Finally, let’s finish with a painting. This one’s from Dave, of a really great traditional rose and dagger. Dave can knock these out with his eyes closed, so if you’re looking for something like this, feel free to come down!

As always, we’ll be back on Monday with some more stuff- enjoy the rest of your weekend!
