Hey, it’s another week nearly over- hope you’re all having a great weekend! Here’s this week’s work.
This week, Ian got to tattoo this really cool lady head with a raven. It has a pretty cool Edgar Allen Poe look to it, as if it’s the lost Lenore and the raven- I don’t know if that’s exactly what he was going for, but it’s awesome either way, haha.
Paul also got to tattoo a lady head this week, in a lucky horse shoe. Paul loves these really vintage American styles in tattooing, which is why he rocks at it. The colours in this give it a bit of a folksy feel to it, too. Is ‘folksy’ a word? If it wasn’t, it is now.
Paul also drew this cool little lady head, so if you’re stuck for some ideas, maybe you’d like to book in this with him. With that giant hair, it could be an Amy Winehouse tribute! Or not, whatever floats your boat. It’s great though, someone needs to get this.
Hayley and Dave have been painting this week, too. Hayley painted this beautiful peacock, which is absolutely stunning. Hayley may not be tattooing as much at the minute, but you can see here that she’s still always working away and creating wonderful things.
This other painting from Dave takes traditional classics, which is why it looks this cool. Hourglasses, ribbons, flowers and moons are tried and true images in tattooing, though when you have a team full of people who can draw this well, they look different every single time.
Lastly, here’s a piece in progress from Ian. Seeing tattoos in progress is always pretty cool, so we try to throw a few up on this blog so you can see how things work with larger pieces. This Paul Rogers style tattoo looks like it’ll come together really nicely when it’s finished- the lines and black shading already look great!
No real news this week, everyone’s just been working away. Wait- come and get tattooed- that’s the news. All the groovy people are doing it, don’t you know. We’ll be back on Monday, with some news from Blake, Siobhan and Lauren, and perhaps we’ll throw in another older piece like we did last Monday too, for funsies. Have a good weekend!
